Meet Tanika Salmon

Founded by Tanika Salmon, Girls World is a separate for-profit business welcoming all girls. Black Girl Magic Day (BGMD) is the nonprofit, and BGMD Club will operate inside Girls World. Tanika’s work spans youth programming, community engagement, operations, graphic design, branding and event development — experience that shapes every part of the Girls World vision.

Girls World is imagined as a place where all girls — regardless of race, skin color, hair texture or background — can see themselves reflected, feel celebrated and belong.
